Can an EU National play on Svenska Spel?

Hi firstly I put this in as I though there would be more likely appropriate traffic from Swedes etc; who can answer my question.

As a British National is is possible for me to play on this site? As I understood it there is no restriction of trade or services within the EU and yet it seems that I can't play here.

Is this correct? Or is there anyway I can get around this?

Nope, I believe you need a Swedish national ID card to play. I dunno about the restriction of trade rules, but I imagine there're millions of exceptions...

As of now you can't get around it.

The head of Svenska Spel once said they would like to make a network with other state run gambling sites within EU. This will take some time if it happens at all.

Considering Svenska Spels non-network site is ranked 7th-8th at pokersitescout with only swedes allowed (a small 9 million population), an EU-network would be a huge pokerroom if not the biggest.
