I think river is an easy call. AK AQ AJ JJ and 88 are very plausible hands villain can have. If he has a flush it sucks, but he would have to call your threebet preflop with KJs.

88 possibly, but I don't think he's bad enough to call in this spot with AQ or AJ, and again I really can't seem him leading out on the flop into two people with JJ. Perhaps I'm wrong but to call in this spot pf I believed his range to be fairly narrow.

as other posters have told you get it in by the turn and on the river you beat very little with a flush and straight out there..bad

straight? you think he calls pf with KT here? I'm not disputing I played the hand badly, but I don't think some of you are putting much thought into defining his likely hand range given the pf action.

If you play your other hands like this one, then I can see a villain who is paying attention having a pretty wide pre-flop calling range.

Ok JT is double gutter on flop. Given how you look a lot like AK I can see him bluff shoving that. Also given that he can have several 2p2ers and other sets I'm calling riv. No way I get myself into this spot though as I'm raising turn for sure and also flop.

Well as I said in the OP I imagine my table image to be pretty solid (was playing somewhere around 20/15). I would also think calling with a wide range would make more sense if i appeared spewey rather than passive. And of course the original raiser is still in the hand and yet to act. So whatever, I still think his range in this spot is narrow.

Believe it or not these kind of hands are rare for me and seem to always happen when I'm playing deeper than 150bb. Obviously something I need to sort out. Thanks for all the replies.
