I know Atlantis does not have poker, and Crystal Palace did at one point but on my trip there in June they had closed the poker room. Is there any where to play poker in Nassau? And I never understood why Atlantis doesn't have poker.

Atlantis has an authentically captive audience, since it would be easy to spend up to a week there without a strong urge to leave the premises. Why on earth would they want them to play lower ROI game when the average punter will play blackjack or roullette once they find out there's no poker.

If there was such a thing as an Atlantis Frequent Stayer, they would have to lobby pretty hard before Atlantis dealt poker. I don't see that happening.

This is the conclusion which I came to. However their table minimums are so high that I think this would be a good alternative for those casino patrons unable to lose $1,000+ in one night.

Atlantis doesn't have many people unwilling/unable to put up with their table minimums. The tables are CONSTANTLY packed even being $25 blackjack and $15 craps in the evening. As for poker, I would love to see it as that is my game of choice, but as someone that goes to Atlantis every year, I don't see it happening. Finding a game that would keep everyone happy would be near impossible. That guy playing $25 craps with full odds and $50 Horn bets sure isn't going to want to play in my $2-5NL game. Atlantis is now much more interested in getting the 20 something poker player into the new nightclub to buy the bottle service. Way more profitable.

Oh well. Guess I'll just stay on the boat and play 3/6. At least the cruise ship also has $5 minimums.

I have been to Atlantis and while its very nice everything is expensive. Drinks are double, high table minimums, but the air is free. I think Atlantis is a bit over rated IMHO. The only thing that will happen if I go is I'll find myself at some $15-25 minimum and be stuck $1,000.

Hi All

No Poker in the Bahamas? Well it's WPS to the Rescue AGAIN!!! Here we come Crystal Palace
Ok so you'll have to hold your breathe till January, at that time the WPS will hold a 2 week DEEP STACK tournament in partnership with FIDPA (Marcel Luskes company)and there will be events and live games.
As some of you might realize, this is held the same dates as the PokerStars Adventure (well we start 3 days after them), so it appears that there will be over 500 poker players already on the island!!!. Add that to the marketing of Europe thru Marcel and we've got a Fabulous event lined up.
Join us this coming January for Fun, Sun and our best event ever.
Remember Deep Stack and my structures!!!
See the link for the bahamas event at:
