Reraise to $1.35 preflop, and then fire $2 on almost all flops. Flat-calling PF with AK is usually not a good idea.

Reraise definitely PF to probably about 1.25-1.75. If checked to you on flop, c-bet for at least $2 and check behind if unimproved. if he donk bets, i prolie fold readless; rr if he's been getting frisky lately. any reads on villian?

Hero acts first on the flop.

I think you played it correctly, considering your position.

Then what on earth does your 3-betting range look like in this spot?

You played it fine OP. 3betting is your other option as described above. You should definitely look to 3b AK more PF that just calling with it in this spot however.

3 betting is much more of an option preflop OOP in the SB, who the hell wants to play AK out of position.

I would 3bet this almost every time. By 3-betting we make the hand much easier to play. If you just call you are going to get c-bet most of the time, and unless you flop a pair it is hard to continue with the hand.

If you 3-bet then you have the initiative and can take down the pot on the flop a lot with a c-bet
