Not to sound cliche, but you need some kind of plan. If you're going to call a 4xBB raise cold with 66, you have to have some idea of what you want to do in the hand. Do you want to flop a set or fold? Do you want to try to take the hand away?

You played this like you had no idea what you wanted to do. You just called the whole way down. If you were going to do that, why not just raise the flop and try to take the pot down now before your hand gets counterfeited? Every single card above a 6 is a scare card after the flop.

If you want to play meta-game because of a 'brutal history' (which is way too vague), you need to raise as a bluff somewhere. 3bet him light pf, or raise the flop, or whatever, but calling down is bad.
