Lean steak is fine to eat. I usually break days off by my sleep schedule.

Anyway, I just started using this caloric need calculator here and it turns out I've been way under eating calorie wise and probably have been for a few months now. [/ QUOTE ] Interesting calculator. An inactive person at my height and weight needs only 1850 calories a day to maintain my weight. Someone who exercises like mad needs 3450 calories a day. Guys who exercise can pretty much eat as much as they want. |

fascinating, i was about to post about the exact same topic. i'm on the typical poker player's sleep schedule (6am - 2pm) and will have some sort of snack when I wake up (lunch meat, maybe a salad, and a peach) then go for a run. I won't eat again until about 8pm, which is typically a very healthy meal 400 - 600 calorie meal. I won't eat another real meal the rest of the night but my have some cheese and lunch meat some time during my session.
I've been doing a fantastic job of documenting everything on fitday, and my daily caloric intake usually is no more than 1200 calories (before beer of course, but i only drink 2x a week or so) Is there anything wrong with this if I'm not starving myself, and being pretty sedentary (playing online poker) for most of my waking hours besides my afternoon run? I should definitely kick it up 600 calories or so once I begin lifting, right? |

A pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream is 1100 calories. Some flavors are over 1300 calories. Eat a pint every other day.
