200 NL - TPTK in BvB, turn decision
Villain is 18/14/2.7 over a large sample. His fold to cbet is 48. He has open pushed the turn with his AK into my overpair on a 9974 board once.

read dependent. sometimes i bet $70 and fold to a raise/fold to a river donkbet, or check behind on the river if he calls on the turn and checks on the river. sometimes i check behind the turn and call a river bet. i think both lines are ok depending on the opponent.
btw: nobody would crai with a weaker hand than AJ here. |

it does depend on opponent, but in general i would check here. there are not many scare cards on the river, and I dont want to be check-raised.
Checking turn allows you to call dwon some bluffs/weaker hands on river whilst controlling the pot should you be up against overpair or set Another thought: The pot is big already, and he may push river. I guess if you intend to call river, you could commit here, but I still like to check |
