Heh I've been googling this problem for like 4 weeks now. I actually did get the problem fixed. Amazingly, it wasn't drivers, jumpers, BIOS or anything hard like that. All I had to do was redelete the partition that was on the drive - it must not have liked it when I formatted the drive in my other computer, and I had been just reformatting not deleting in windows setup - and I was golden. Unbelievable, but I'll take it. Thanks for your help everyone.
