NL25: 4betting light against a very light 3better with AQ
Villian had reraised me around 4 or 5 times. And his stats indicate that he is raising very light. Is this correct play or should i just call his 3bet. i mean i think he could push any pocket pair here and worse aces also

Re: NL25: 4betting light against a very light 3better with AQ
I thought 4betting light here is creating a lot of fold equity because he most likely is folding low to mid pocketpairs. When he pushed i can't fold anymore

After your raise to $13 and he shoves, do you really think he is loose/fishy enough to shove with AJ? I would fold to his shove here. Against lower pairs this is almost a flip.

Re: NL25: 4betting light against a very light 3better with AQ
if i'm flipping i can't fold no more against the shove i'm getting 2-1 on my money so folding would be bad imo. The main reason i did this because i wan't him to fold lower pocketpairs and create a image i'm not te be pushed around

If you gonna 4bet against a very light 3bettor, just 4bet shove. But I prefer doing it with AK.

I think it's fine, but then I err on the side of not letting people [censored] with me even if it costs me money sometimes. Anyway against this kind of villain you'll have the best hand every once in a while and be racing a lot of the time. Edit: I didn't see you would be in position going to the flop. Now I think just calling might be better given stacks. The one nice thing about 4-betting less than all in is you might just get him to stick it in with some hands you beat that he would have folded had you shoved first. |
