Looks good, a player like that isn't going to call pot sized bets with a naked flush draw, and combo draws would most likely raise the flop.

thats ok i guess, but i'd rather charge draws and kings. i think most big spades play it faster on the flop, and he checks behind like all kings on the turn.
if u knew he was tilted/super aggro w/ draws when checked to that line would make a lot more sense |

[ QUOTE ]
i bet more on river for value and to stop him from bluff shoving on me [/ QUOTE ] this is basically the same as my initial thoughts; however I think a larger bet may move villain off a sole king. therefore most the time he doesnt fold, we either get called and lose (seems unlikely, but maybe a baby flush, or even bottom set) or he pushes on us. im all for big close to pot or PSB's for value, there are defenitely times when betting closer to pot size is more valuable than a smaller bet, but this doesnt look like one of them. Mostly because IMO hero's line could also easily be a flush draw, which obv hit on river. all things considered, this makes lone kings a very tough call for a competent villain(the only thing in his range we feasibly beat that he calls riv with), consequently making the bet too thin. |

people love to call, and the size of bet made in this hand is never/almost never a bluff while a bigger bet can be

but the way hero has played the hand there is almost no hands he can be bluffing with. This is why i think against a bad villain a bigger bet makes more sense, but vs. a semi competent/solid villain a bet in the 380-500 range is fine (i do think he could bet a little more than he did by default)because i think in reality, while your 'people love to call' theory is true, in this case villain probably just cant resist to call a smaller bet on this river when the pot is already bloated.
