This is quite a bad beat. I would bet the flop, but check/raise the way you did, the size you raised, is fine. However when another heart came on the turn, you just gotta stop trying to take it down with the shove. 4 hearts on board and it's no longer how great QQQ looks or how much $$$ you've already put in the pot. Opponent has shown no reason for you not to strongly believe that he holds 1 or 2 hearts, so you just can't shove there.

However I think the biggest mistake is not check/raising the flop or even shoving the turn(you felt pot-committed at that point, too bad), but not 3-betting preflop. Had you done that, he would've simply folded. And if he hadn't then you would've been able to narrow down his range much better later on.
