It means "That went over your head", particularly if they're operating at a level of sarcasm that you don't "get". It originates from outhinking your poker opponent because you're operating at a higher level (level 1 players only look at their own cards, level 2 players look at their own cards and try to put their opponents on a hand, level 3 players also consider what their opponent puts them on, etc) than him (I know the he knows that I know the he knows that I know he can have a huge range here, so I should push...)

An example would be if I said the Transformers movie is really "awesome". And you agreed. But I was only saying it was awesome because it was so cheezy it was hilariously bad. While you genuinely liked it. That'd be a level..
