I would burst out laughing in weird places like the library because this randomly popped into my head.

Two favorites...
1) Job and Franklin recording that song... "It ain't easy being white, It ain't easy being brown, so much pressure to be bright, i got children all over town"

2) What do we really know about Steve Holt? I love that entire clip...

I hate my fellow americans for being too stupid to appreciate this show, and thus killing it to make way for great shows like "My Boys".

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't watch the show until it came out on DVD. I would imagine it was hard to watch for a lot of people in a week to week format as fast as it moved using so many jokes that were references to other episodes as they did.

Michael (to Gob, about the boat): Get rid of the Seaward.
Lucille: I'll leave when I'm good and ready.

Gob: Steve Holt's not my son.
George Michael: Steve Holt? What, the moron jock?
Gob: That's my son, you pothead.

Michael: You know, the feeling that you're feeling is just what many of us call... a "feeling".
Gob: It's not like envy, or even hungry.
Michael: Could it be love?
Gob: I know what an erection feels like, Michael. No, it's the opposite - it's like my heart is getting hard.

Tobias: What are you doing up here?
George Sr.: I'm having a [censored] tea party, what does it look like I'm doing?
[he shoves Tobias up against the wall with his hand against his mouth]
George Sr.: I'm living up here and if you tell anyone about this, I will [censored] kill you...stop licking my hand, you horse's ass.

How has this not been mentioned???? :::

Michael: "He's lying to me, Gob, I know he's lying. What is this family coming to?"

Gob: " <coughs out plume of weed smoke> I don't know..."

Lucille: How am I gonna get anyone to up in that dusty old claptrap?

[Awkward pause]

Michael: Oh, the cabin, right...

When GOB sets Tobias on fire, and it cuts away and you hear

"WHY AM I NOT SINKING??!"

I think the revelation that Rita was "special" was my most precious tv moment ever. The single greatest tv "aha!" moment was when they revealed the picture of a hand she drew for her uncle. After that all the scenes I found awkward with her but couldn't lay my finger on made perfect sense to me. The planning and ingenuity for that running joke were unlike any other i've seen on a tv show or even a movie. I was never leveled so hard by a tv show. They played her character as a british spy so well that I caught the bait hardcore. If you watch all the episodes again, the running joke starts from episode 1, not episode 2.

Michael: "I don't even have a girl problem, much less a stupid one."

when did you guys catch on that she was "special"?
