Villain's play isn't particularly consistent with a hand that holds a 9, but I'm not absolutely ruling out, for instance, 97s, and in any case 44 does make sense (as does, come to think of it, T9, although that should be discounted somewhat because of preflop).

Meanwhile, though, we're getting ~2:1 here, and we do beat 1/3 of the slowplayed flopped sets, and we also have a slowplayed AA beat.

Crap, I don't know. I might call because I have a set and I'm not sure I'm beat 2/3 of the time, but I'm not happy to be facing this river checkraise push at all. I also suspect that folding is best.

I'd bet more on the turn on this very wet board, no?

You want to make the odds for whatever he has as bad as possible. Giving him 3:1 odds on the turn gives him odds to draw to just about everything on the board.. especially if he expects you to lead the river since you're OOP.

It would need to be pot, or even an overbet. I don't believe I've overbet much... but I may even make that turn $4.

I'd like to hear what the others think about that.
