trains in europe?

i'm a romanian poker pro and want to move to the UK in the next few months, as a EU citizen i can stay there if i can support myself without getting a UK job. so my plan is to get to London but flying is out of question so i guess trains are my only real option. does anyone have any advice? i found this and it seems like a good route http://www.seat61.com/Romania.htm . is there a better route i could take? thanks.
