No push is worse than call or fold IMO...
It's an awkward spot, I think you played it alright... I'm guessing he showed up with AJ or something thou...

If you are willing to call that raise on the flop then yes you should push.

You have only about 2000 behind...I thought it was more
Calling is basically the same as pushing..I am not advocating folding to a turn or river bet if you call flop... I just think if you push he is only going to call with hands that beat you or a flush draw... Whereas if you call flop and check to him on turn you give him another chance to lash in his stack with air It's way closer than I originally thought...I thought he had about 4000 behind if he called the flop raise. Push is fine but I think calling gives him more chance to make a mistake as we are not folding out any draws with a push anyway
