Default \"How Good is Your Pot-Limit Hold\'em?\" by Stewart Reuben

I hate to add to the proliferation of threads requesting information about books, but....has anyone read this? Of course I've read Reuben and Ciaffone's collaberation on big-bet poker, but I've never seen a thorough review of this solo effort by Reuben. Given that Byron Jacob's book in the series is very-well respected, I was just wondering what people thought of this. Thanks in advance.

I don't know that book, but there are some comments on it at amazon.com.

It's considered a botch job because the example hands are from no-limit. It's not a pot-limit holdem book.

There is not that much difference between PLHE and NLHE as a cash game with deep stacks. It presumably is about PLHE, because the author lives in Britain where that is the game played. PLHE rather than NLHE is usually played as a cash game in Europe.

I don't see how some of the examples being from NLHE makes it a useless book.

I have read the book, but I didn't find it all that helpful.

While some of the examples were from games other than pot limit holdem, I thought reading the book was worthwhile. The book is primarily example hands, like the rest of the "how good is your" series.

My favorite "How Good is Your" books are PLO by Reuben and Limit Holdem by Jacobs. The Pot Limit Holdem book is not as good as the other 2.
