As long as I get implieds odds, sure. I don't need much more than 7:1 on the flop.

If you get raised it's a sign you shouldn't have called in the first place, but never try to correct mistakes by making yet another mistake: when it comes back to you after being raised you almost have to call.

On the turn you rarely get odds to chase a gutter. If I do, the pot must be so huge that I will go for it if the guy (or gal) behind me is unlikely to pop it. If I'm sandwiched between a bettor and earlier raiser I'll probably just fold. Unless I feel lucky.

If she's hot I might just go for it so I have an excuse for conversation in case I do hit; there's more important things in life than poker or one big bet. (Badger feels both this and your previous post are disguised BBV posts )

A possible alternate line here is to fold it and let her know you let her have the pot after you hit your gutter.

These are the ones(who are constantly going to far with marg holdings)we want to play against as much as possible aren't they? Don't we make our most money off of a player that doesn't have the odds to make his hand keeps calling our good holdings? So, stick to your tag strat and do it when it is right to do so

But won't you appear weak to her then, a push-over, someone who will not fight for her, a non-alpha-male, a poor mate? I don't know. I fear this line will leave you with nothing more than, "You're such a good friend, you understand me so well, I really like talking to you.", which, we all know, is quite killing for any possible hope of any future more-than-friends relationship.

That I like better. With this line we tell her, "Hey, I'm not afraid to go for it, but I'll take it easy on you. I'll fight for it and then protect you; I'll be a good father to your children."

How about this scenenario,
I'm holding KJo, flop is A,T,2,
turn is 8, big pot, turn bet closes on me, I called but misses, an hour later a loose player did the same thing, this time he was not closing the turn bet but got raised, he called that too and spiked a Q on the river, lucky bastard.

What's your point?
