Particularly multi-table SNG's. 1-table SNGs(and he does mention this) have a flat enough payout scheme that his ideas aren't going to work as well. I don't think PTF would work for cash games. A big part of PTF is people afraid of busting out and increased pressure due to blinds. In a cash game, people can reload and blinds never increase, which nullifies a great deal of the motivating factors behind Snyder's thinking. |

IMO there is just one good reason for reading that book.
Afterwards you are able to identify opponents who play with these guidelines quickly and can crush them easily. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] |

After reading PTF, I now have a better understanding of position and using my chips as a weapon. Also with various types of tourneys to enter, this book helped me understand some of the differences. To get me started Im going to apply these ideas in the 45-man sng's on stars. Anyone have any feedback playing these? |
