Default Which hands do you guys push?

Since I often gets in trouble with this question can someone tell me which hands u guys push first in:

1)in early position
2)middle position
3)late position
4)SB vs BB

I know it's based on more facts then just your hand but a little basic scheme would help me a lot cause I'm fairly new in tournament poker and have troubles with it all the time,

Thanks

if you like to work that out i would suggest you get the SnG-Power-Tools and use this for your experiments.

if you don't want to spend any money on poker-software you can create a spreadsheet (f.e. in excel) an experiment there with different stack sizes, different opponent-types, blinds etc.

pushing ranges are not that easy, than i can give a general advice, too much depends on player types, stack sizes and of course blinds.

Hey there

You should read the chapter about the Sklansky-Chubokov rankings in the book No Limit Hold'Em: Theory And Practice

and download an icm (independant chip model) tool like sngwiz http://www.sngwiz.com/ and practice the quiz. This really helped me

While I agree that sngwiz is a great tool, I think that just the fact that the OP would ask a question like this shows that he has a lot of fundamental learning to do before ICM will mean anything to him.

Zeff, you've asked a totally unanswerable question. The best advice I can give you is to tell you to NEVER generalize in poker. Every tournament, every hand, every situation is entirely different. Read 2+2 and some books (HoH 1 and 2 in particular) to start getting a feel for situations.

Hopefully a year from now you'll look back at this thread and say, "Did I really post that?!?"

Matt

I'm not sure what your bank roll is, but if I might make a suggestion. I like the 45 person sit and gos on poker stars. it will give you the full range of situations that you will need to make these decisions.

It all depends on stack sizes, blinds, ITM, shorthanded, who raised before us.....
