You guys have any idea how i can find nearby raves in san francisco besides google - some inside information?

ask dj at club or dj competition. u'd be hard pressed not to find a bunch of music venues. raving isn't my thing, but i definitely went to a few in highschool in and around sf

Doesn't DJ Harvey live and play in SF? He's the best DJ in the world, though the music he plays isn't exactly hands-in-the-air trance-pop.
