Starter Clubs

I have a Nicklaus starter set (golden bear) which I got from Dicks. The set minus putter and bag was ~300ish 4 years ago. I still use and love the set today. I bought my fiancee a set of Rams awhile ago and they totally suck. Like three of the club faces have flown off the shaft mid-swing. Maybe they are using elmers glue?

I have a Nicklaus set as well.
Driver, 3w, 5w, 3i/4i hybrids, 5-9i, PW, putter and a bag.

Pretty impressive for the ~$200 tag. I'm a beginner but to me they seem pretty solid. I've hit a friend's clubs which cost 5x that amount and they don't seem too different.

Also had someone who is about 1 tier below PGA quality skill level fool around with the driver. He was smashing them nearly as far as a top of the line stiff shaft Nike driver (he was demo'ing the Nike at the time).
