Re: 200nl is this a call?
Shrug, all options are fine here. Checkraise does turn our hand into a semibluff, but I think people are taking the whole "omg you have TPGK you turn your hand into a bluff!" thing a little too far. For one, if you c/r a lot of flops you should most definitely be c/ring here. If you have a lot of history with villain also makes c/ring a fine play. Against somebody who has a pretty tight raising range (aka nits) I don't like a c/r, and I'd probably check call or bet / 3 bet or something.

Re: 200nl is this a call?
the c/r sucks because, when you're called and a rag turn comes down you have no [censored] clue what to do with your hand that used to be good but now has much less equity
bet/3bet allows you to put the last bet in - and this is a good thing |

What is wrong with a CRAI?
Early325, instead of saying how horrible the play is, perhaps explain yourself. |

Re: 200nl is this a call?
i dont like c/r here either. if he shoves, you arent getting great odds. and you're gonna have a tough time playing this on 4th street if you miss, while oop.
betting is nice though. if he raises, you can shove, and look quite strong...and win a larger pot when he does fold. plus if he smooth calls the flop bet, you arent in as tough of a position on the turn because the pot will be smaller. |

Re: 200nl is this a call?
Maybe the original call wasn't brilliant, without reads. You got pretty much the precise flop you could have wanted and you are in a bad spot. (i'm just thinking out loud; I make this call, too, but after thinking about this hand I'm wondering why)
That said, HU I think you may extract value if you hit the flush, as most players discount the possibility of a flush draw against a single opponent. So if you can extract value, then the C/R is bad b/c you've turned a small pot that you had decent implied odds on into a huge pot OOP for no real reason. The real decision is whether to push. |

Re: 200nl is this a call?
He's laying odds of 1:1.75, right?
What has he got? set (likely) nut flush draw (likely) (=at least one overcard) two pair (unlikely) He can't have top pair + flush draw like you. Maybe middle pair added to his flush draw. If he's got set or two pair, your flush draw should give you enough outs to call profitably. If he's only got a flush draw, you're already ahead. I'd call this any time. |

Re: 200nl is this a call?
Totally agree dragon. Well summed up.
However, GIVEN that we check what is the right amount to raise? Is it a shove all in to eliminate the tough spot on the turn? Also if we are in position and he leads into us do we just shovel it in? |
