Just in! Fossils of bacteria estimated at three and a half billion years old have been found in Australia!

Amazing the way they popped up like that in only 400,000 years. You might almost think it was a miracle.

I just saw that fact mentioned in an article about "New Fossils Support Deep-Sea Origin-of-Life Theory"

Alternatively, 4 GYA - 3.5 GYA != 400 000 years
