Flopped bottom 2, tricky spot. €2/5
€2/5 live game. 7 handed, table is playing tight. Villian is playing c.650 and I cover.
I raise UTG to 20 with 10h8h. Its folded to the BB who calls. Ive not noticed him much, he hasnt been over active. (pot 42) Flop Q 10 8 - checked to me and I bet 35, he CR to 100. I call. (pot 242) Turn A (this brings back door spades) - He leads for 225 - action? |

Re: Flopped bottom 2, tricky spot. €2/5
Why did you raise pre-flop and get into this situation? I hate the raise UTG. Don't you want a large multi-way pot with a hand like that? You have to be a dog against a caller in a heads up scenario. Flop, It sure looks like AQ to me why would you not re-raise here? I would re-raise to 225. If he pushes you have a decision I dont put him on a set of Q's and its unlikely he has another set based on your holdings. Turn, FOLD! This is definately AQ.

Given your read this seems like an easy fold

How is the turn bringing the backdoor spades?
You mean, the flush draw got there? |

This doesn't much in light of the flop.I don't see that you beat anything esp with your reads. You could be ahead of AQ on the flop, but now anymore (and KJ got there as well).
Anyway, i like a fold here. |
