Default 200NL, 3bet/fold vs. TakinUR_$$$

BB is Takingur_$$$, 22/12/2.45 reg over 1000 hands. I don't think he's good at all, he makes a lot of weird plays that don't make any sense, but I don't see how I can call the shove here.

Is the 3bet a mistake? I'm sure he raises any flush there, and I'm pretty sure he's not folding any flush to me either. I planned to 3bet and fold to a shove, but my calling station side is still doubting my decision.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $270.80
BB: $536.95
UTG: $331.65
MP: $197.00
CO: $65.45
BTN: $102.15

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, BTN calls $2.00, Hero calls $1.00, BB checks

Flop: ($6) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)

Turn: ($6) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, BB checks, BTN checks

River: ($6) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)

Sick spot.

It is soooooo hard to put him on anything that beats you other than JT.

No way a non-idiot checks KJ or J3 (he IS the BB) on the flop AND turn.

I guess he could have 33, but MAN. My theorem is usually that people don't go nuts on paired, 3-flush boards without the nut flush, which you have, lol.

I'm kind of stumped. But you do say that he always takes weird, stupid lines, so maybe he IS bad enough to play KJ or J3 this way...

wow you have him that high on vpip? i have him at like 17/5 or some ridic #s like that. either way, he's weird and not very good.

there was this hand i played vs. TU$. (i actually posted it). it went like this:

he limps pf, i raise with AK, he calls.

flop comes KxT[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
-he checks, i bet, he C/Rs, i figure wtf? and call.

turn Tx, he bets ,i shove, he calls with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and the river is a T and we chop.

sooo he can show up with some weird hands and definitely overplays them at times. tbh, i dont really like your 3-b amt on the river and would make it something like $55 or whatever. also, i would consider leading the turn.

orange, Button was a complete and absolute fish - zero FE if he had anything even remotely resembling the board, so I didn't feel like leading.

oh, and his VPIP is probably so high cause I've played with him 3 and 4-handed a fair bit, if I filter for 6 players he's 19/11.

i think i fold here i mean we still have an entire buy-in left to call on the river and if he takes weird lines he can show up with a few boats and i don't think he shoves w/ Qxhh.

i know he can overplay hands, but that really shouldnt give us reason to 3 bet the river on a paired board. I mean yes, he can overplay 1 pair and drawy hands, but I don't think i'd ever try to squeeze out a 3 bet on this board against this villain on the river. He overplays hands, but also has a brain.

And FWIW i have him way closer to like 17/11 and not very aggro.

Jigsaws: Why the 3bet on the river?

Is he calling 47 with the weaker flush, trip J?

I planned to 3bet and fold to a shove

If he takes wierd lines and may push with a lower flush (or less) then don't 3-bet.

TakinUR_$$$ is fairly straightforward IMO. He is not atrocious, but I don't think he has much creativity at all. He is not ever bluff-4bet-shoving this river. He is also slightly stationy ime.

So I like your river 3bet. def fold to shove.

fwiw I have him at 21/10 over 2100 hands.
