Re: 400nl - TPTK no good in this 3bet pot?
If a call is as standard as you guys seem to suggest it is, all of you should come to commerce sometimes to play the 400nl or the 10-20nl

[ QUOTE ]
you should not be 3betting pf if this is your line on the flop [/ QUOTE ] Duck, Obv you are a way way better player than I am, so can you please explain why? This was my thinking (if it is bad please let me know): We 3bet pf for value and cbet 90% (random # but prob close) flops with this hand. This play is +EV by itself, right? After he check/shoves on me, my thinking then goes to 'well what is his range?, am I ahead of his range?, what odds am I getting in respects to his range?, etc' From this I thought (and I may be wrong here) that I was behind his range and so I layed the hand down. Therefore, I still think the 3bet pf (+ cbet) is +EV, as it is independent of what we are doing after he ch/shoves. Hope that rant came across ok and you kinda understand what Im trying to say. Look forward to your response. |

Look forward to your response. [/ QUOTE ] How is your 3 bet for value if you aren't comfortable bet/calling the flop with TPTK? If you're saying that the act of reraising itself and betting any flop is +EV, that certainly may be the case against some players, but in that case your hand doesn't really matter. If you don't plan on calling a shove once you bet, then check the flop and get value from worse hands that way. Personally, I bet this flop and am usually thrilled when my opponent shoves and beat him into the pot. |
