Default FT 25nl Flopped set line

Villian had only been at table for 7 hands. He had not done much yet so no reads. How was my line? Raise flop more or less? Push all in okay on turn or value bet a little less?

Stack sizes:
UTG: $39.30

Preflop call is questionable unless you think a bet on the flop can often take it. Otherwise you are looking at 9:1 to flop a set or better for $.75 and need implied odds of $6.75 on average just to break even. I say the call is borderline on the preflop.

Postflop play is perfect.

We donīt know if villain raises 50% on the button or just 5%. Most villains do not open up their game dramatically on the button.

This is exactly why we fold 22 here. Every flop is questionable without reads or knowledge of any kind. If this guy is open raising with position any holding has hit and we are far behind. We don't know if he's capable of folding bottom pair on the flop, or how often a bet can take it. Therefore you have to use pure implied odds to figure whether or not to play this hand, IMO. Your point about not knowing whether its 5% or 50% is exactly why I'm folding deuces. Remember, we aren't necessarily headsup either, the BB can reraise this preflop and we are in a real pickle then.

I can't believe you're saying OP should have folded 22 preflop. Sets are going to be your biggest money maker and you're telling OP to avoid situations where he can take an opponents stack like he did in the HH.(results pending of course)

I really can't believe you're worried about BB repopping it either. The table is 4 handed and the chance of him repoppping it are slim.

I play my PPs at almost every chance I get no matter what, but I get the feeling you are an Uber-Nit.

OP job well done.

I like this line, although the preflop call is indeed marginal given the range of the button raiser.

how could you ever, ever EVER even think about ever, ever, EVER folding here? the only thought that needs to go through your head is how to get villians money in the middle and what type of tiger woods fist pump you're going to do.

and as far as BB repoping...no one 4 bets at these stakes.
