Default Unsolicited Staking IM

Here's a transcropt from an unsolicited AIM session I had while playing on Stars. While I am, of course, awesome, this struck me as a scam. Anyone had a similar experience? Did I handle it right?

him (11:08:45 AM): hey
me (11:09:07 AM): yeah?
him (11:09:11 AM): i was just wondering if you wanted to get in the $215 with me tommorow
me (11:09:26 AM): who are u?
him (11:09:29 AM): Ill buy you in, but if you place, we split 50/50
me (11:09:44 AM): do i know u?
him (11:09:57 AM): yes, from PS
me (11:10:38 AM): not really intereested
him (11:10:45 AM): ok
me (11:10:59 AM): unless u transfer 215 to me 1st
him (11:11:26 AM): what do you thing i would do? not transfer it but somehow you would still get in?
him (11:11:33 AM): Of COURSE i would transfer it first lol
me (11:12:13 AM): it doesnt make sense that you would ask me, so unless u provide very compelling reason kim not interested
him (11:12:32 AM): whatever, than your not intrested
him (11:12:41 AM): I just know that you are a good player
me (11:13:20 AM): well, thats notn compelling enbouhg
him (11:13:31 AM): ok bye'
me (11:13:37 AM): cya

I'm not 100% sure of the scam here, but it almost certainly is. Maybe it's a stolen credit card (as usual), then after you place in the tournament (possibly), he wants you to transfer via Neteller instead of on PS. Later, when PS finds out that the card was stolen, they take the money back from you. The "backer" has of course disappeared by then.

as the guy above explains,

when pokerstars sees that the funds were transferred to OP, they will try to take funds back (maybe they will if he has the $, i do not know)

I was just taking a stab at what the con could be. It seems pretty complicated for a scammer and involves so many steps. First you have to trick someone into playing the tournament, then they have to win, then they have to agree to transfer money via Neteller. Seems unlikely, but you never know.
