($36) 99 in tough spot on bubble
Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t200/t400 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t7770 Button: t3170 Hero: t1455 BB: t1105 Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG raises to t800, Button folds, Hero?? UTG had been playing pretty aggro, but not as much as he shouldve been with his chip position. BB had been foling a lot and there is no guarantee he'll call here. Do I need to get it in? |

I think I muck here and hope for a better spot, granted you might not see much better..... 800 raise might be racing might already be beat. Throw it away you dont have enough to flat call.

Re: ($36) 99 in tough spot on bubble
Relatively easy fold I think. Zero fold equity, we have more chips than the short stack, and we probably don't have UTG's range beat baadly enough for me to get it in here. |

Re: ($36) 99 in tough spot on bubble
OP, you say UTG had been pretty aggro but is he capable of raising ATC or 60-70%? It's pretty close actually because I've seen so many villains show up with 93s here. It really depends on your read. If he has been absurd, shove, if not fold.

Re: ($36) 99 in tough spot on bubble
There are only 2 spots that will be avaiable to us before our stack has absolutely no FE for open shoving should we pass this spot up.
You need UTG to be going here with something like 80% of hands to make a push good. You could stop and go. Calling might allow BB to come along and you just may get some FE shoving the flop if he folds behind. This option IMO is better then a straight push but overall I think you have to fold this spot. |
