Default Lets talk about avatars.

Do they, avatars, play any significant roll in the psychological aspect of the game?
Does having no avatar signify "new to site"
Does having a femail avatar imply tight/passive?

While it is understood that we are all great players and rely on numbers, patterns or reads... it can certainly be accpted that players of lesser skill may look to other factors.

Further, having the generic "yellow circle" (no avatar) may be advantagous, as regulars (but thoes who dont use pokertrack), may not notice you as much or remmember your style...

while this post may not apply to all sites, there can be some merit here. maybe some discussion about the effects of play agains you depending on your icon/type of icon...

does a picture of a hick benifit a LAG style or diminish its cerdibility?

-discuss.

Greenstein wrote that it's best not to have one in Ace on the River. I agree. I wanted a mega man avatar on stars, and I wish I didn't have it now. When I don't have a hud open, I definitely remember more about people who have avatars than those who don't. It's certainly disadvantageous for people to remember more about what you've done than otherwise.

I just thought of one that would be evil, but i cant post an image cause im kinda retarded...

What if you took a screenshot of when the cards are shown in PAHUD of someones showing like 10/2 or something...
and then set that as avatar.

then everytime PAHUD would should real cards it would only be for a second then look like its showing 10/2 (cause its your avatar)

while this is somewhat of a [censored] move it would be very troublsome to the eye and youre opponents who are skilld.
im sure a few extra HH would have to be checkd.
