i decided that i was probably ahead on the flop, and that this was the best way to get my money in versus this particular villain given the history. normally i would consider this really bad in an unraised pot on my part though, so i'm not sure how i feel about it. thoughts?

i normally would dump bottom 2 to a big 3bet in an unraised pot on a super dry board like that.

Oh ok. I think this is fair enough given your read. And I agree c/c turn is best way to get value once you've decided to go with it.

Do you have any stats? Is this a guy who like to limp AQ from UTG?

I think you're ahead on the flop. a set of 2's or 7's is unlikely. A set of queens is possible.

On the turn the ace really scares me. Man this one is tough. He might be tilting, but I don't really think so.

I think I'll let the timer run down to almost zero while breaking my head over this one. Then I fold and feel good about myself.

Based on your read, I think you played this fine. I might not do that against an unknown but given that your 2-pair may be good and you can improve your hand with so many outs on the river, I like your play.
