Re: 50NL How do I play my MP and Big draw
[ QUOTE ]
come on that is really obtuse if you're in bb i mean your hand is not as good, but it is still a big draw with lots of (potential) outs and that's a deliberately extreme example, i was just hoping to spark some discussion on a topic i've been wondering about quite a lot recently [/ QUOTE ] Yeah just realised you said BB. Playing from the blinds sucks generally. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] he might have floped 2 pairs or he might have the nuts flush draw. you will get called if you shove all in on the flop i really dont see any fold equity in this hand since he is reraising big, and he clearly wants to play for stacks, since you are low stack to his stack. check call is the best option in my view, and i would def fold the turn after his bet there. [/ QUOTE ] Sure you have fold equity, check calling flop sucks. [/ QUOTE ] i dont like to build a big pot in a limped pot specialy in the blinds [/ QUOTE ] I don't understand. What difference does your position make once you've gone AI? You're not building a big pot, you're going all in and you are favorite to win against his range. |

Re: 50NL How do I play my MP and Big draw
You are ahead on the flop and theres plenty of fold equity.
Even though he made a big raise it doesnt mean he is allways ready to go AI. I would push flop. If you c/c turn and river comes [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] , you might not get paid off. You either push all in and villain might fold since your draw is so obvious or you try c/r and he might check behind because he is scared of flush. |

Re: 50NL How do I play my MP and Big draw
check-calling would be fine on the flop, but b3b is better I think.

Re: 50NL How do I play my MP and Big draw
reverse pot odds blow in this situation, being first to act on such a drawy board, if turn bricks then you have to figure out what size bet to call (also indicating flush draw) and if heart comes, then it might scare villan so i like a 3-bet on the flop, with the intention of getting it all in on the turn, i guess this is a situation where a PF raise would make it lots easier to play, but i don't think i make this PF raise from the SB with a drawy hand that doesn't get paid off OOP, would most people raise this PF?

[/ QUOTE ] I think I would raise it PF if the initial/opening limper was in middle or late position which is quite common at these stakes. I think we are beating the range of the LP limper rather than a UTG limper who might either hold a monster or something marginal like A10 QJ or PP, so they are beating our range and they are not folding. And then we are OOP with a marginal hand ourselves. But again we don't know much about the UTG limper, so his stats would def go into consideration for whether to raise or complete pre-flop. |

Re: 50NL How do I play my MP and Big draw
I re-raise the flop and look to commit him. As played your equity plummets on a brick turn as your outs diminish and his range narrows, so check fold is correct. I would not recommend betting this turn at 50nl because both his and your hands are quite well defined.

easy p0000000sh on flop [/ QUOTE ] this makes no sense to me. There were no raises pf. I might 3 bet on the flop but pushing is totally retarded we would be putting like $40 into an $8 pot?!?!!? +EV |
