To be fair we did get to the argosy buffet after 10pm on a saturday night so we probably should've had lowered expectations and they should've had lower prices (and that was after getting the buffet comped -- I probably would've had a stronger reaction if I'd really paid $20 for it...).

If the 3 casinos were located next door to each other I'd be playing 3/6 or 5/10 at Argosy or 4/8 at Caesars and eating at Belterra...

Yeah, it's not exactly easy hiking back and forth between those places.

Omaha 8 high low goes every wednesday till bout 2 am. The Argosy buffet is decent at best but tops Golden Corral hands down. Any deli sandwich is better than both.

What time does the O/8 game go and is it still $5-10 with a full kill?

That Omaha high low game goes after 6 till the early morning. Friend says they had a must move game going last Wednesday. 5-10 with a kill is the stakes they play.

i have won every day playing $1-2 NL holdem since i came here 6 days ago. wouldve won tonite too had they not closed down for maintenance and then i threw away the whole $1200 playing BJ. what i hate and cant stand is the $6 every half hour time charge, u might much prefer to go somewhere without it.

I am so heading for Lawrenceburg at the soonest possible moment. Can't go today but it just got bumped much higher up the list.

Steam and others:

If the Argosy Wed. O8 game is 5-10 with a full kill..what does it become on a kill pot? 10-20 or 6-12?

Anxious to check this game out...recently took a trip to Tunica (GoldStrike..thanks Steam) and killed their 3-6 with a kill game. Their 3-6 went to 6-12 on a kill, but 5-10 to 10-20 seems like a monstrous jump. So..just curious.

BTW...Tunica is my new fav. place. The experience I had at the GS was far better than any I've had in Vegas. We were treated better by the hotel staff, the poker room staff couldn't have been any more gracious and...the room...I miss it horribly already (lol).

Kudos to Jerry, Gerald, Lacey, JohnnyG and the crew for a trip that was absolutely well worth every dime.
