Getting raised on paired flop
I feel that some villains love bluff raising my flop c-bets on paired flop when they have position. I dont really know how to deal with them...
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) Hero (SB): $10.90 BB: $12.70 UTG: $13.90 CO: $17.25 BTN: $10.35 Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 Players) 2 folds, CO calls $0.10, BTN folds, Hero raises to $0.30, CO calls $0.20 Uncalled bet of $0.00 returned to CO Flop: ($0.60) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $0.40, CO raises to $1.80, Hero folds Theres a good chance villain has king ...So I let it go. Too weak? I call and lead the blank turn ready to fold if raised. Bet/fold turn and check/call river here? Is it ok? Should I consired c-betting full pot on paired boards? |

Re: Getting raised on paired flop
Hand 1:
Raise more preflop, don't let him openlimp from the CO. Hand 2: Well played. He is probably on a flushdraw here. But here come in reads if you have any. Betting out the blank is good. (edit) Turn is a blank, so it would not have helped him. Why even bothering calling the flop, betting out if you plan on folding to a raise? General: Try to keep your cbets the same size so opponents can't pick up on that. You don't want someone to find out for instance that you bet full pot if you hit and half pot if you missed (tough this is an extreme example). |

Re: Getting raised on paired flop
1. Usually raise more PF. I'd play it the same. There are quite a few hands you might fold by repping a K like that. But he raised you indicating he's not scared of the K.
2. People often raise CBs on boards like that. You are probably still ahead. I don't think reraising him on the flop will do anything other than folding worse hands or creating a large pot when he has a better hand. I'd sometimes check the turn to let him bluff the J but seeing as he might have been S/Bing a FD that is somewhat risky. |

Re: Getting raised on paired flop
Hand 1 fold.
Hand 2 reraise before some scare card hits and ends your action. |

Re: Getting raised on paired flop
$0.30 PF should be at least $0.50. There is nothing wrong with the fold IMO. Besides you posted no reads to discuss.
#2 The turn is a blank. Leading the turn now has more fold equity than your flop CB, so if your villian respects it more than standard CBs use this to your advantage and take notes. |

Why? Do you think you'll get called?

Re: Getting raised on paired flop
HAND 2:
Pre-flop action suggests that button is on low PPs i.e. he limped in. I would have folded his flop raise, therefore (me = a bit nitty). To avoid these situations, raise more strongly QQ pre-flop. |
