Default sample size for determining skill level

i have about 7k worth of hands in my poker tracker.. is that enough of a sample size to determine my skill level as a poker player?

As far as I know, there is no objective way to determine skill level. You can answer related questions like "How confident am I that I am a winning player?" if you know your winrate and standard deviation.

If you don't mind providing those numbers, you can find them in PokerTracker under the Session Notes Tab, More Detail button. It gives the numbers in two ways, BB/100 or BB/hour. Since you've already told us how many hands you've played, just give the numbers in BB/100. For example, winrate= 8 BB/100 hands and standard deviation= 25 BB/100 hands.
