Its only a bet in the same way that chosing not to play roulette is a bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fine. So long as you don't claim that the Bible and Judeo-Christianity bear any resemblance to roulette.

Dude, you know what I am talking about. Just elaborate on this please:

We know from Scripture that those people could tell the difference between the natural and the miraculous

I think it would be interesting if you were to post on 2+2 the story of how you became a Christian.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have.

How long ago? I'll go looking in the archives.

Why did Joseph want to put Mary away when he found out she was pregnant? Because he knew how women got pregnant and he knew it wasn't him. See?

Evolution has no mind, design implies mind.

All of these have a function.

Again, these have functions. As for the legless snakes, I don't know the specifics.

[/ QUOTE ]
You got the last part right anyway.

I don't understand why you (or any Christians really) would tie themselves to psuedo-scientific claims like this. I think it hurts the spiritual side of your message, which I happen to like a lot.

I can only say you shoulda seen me before I was a Christian.

The fact that you were previously sinful and then "found Jesus" does help explain a lot about your need to proselitize and your zealotry.

[/ QUOTE ]

He still is sinful.

Minor Hijack ... Something I never understood with this. Since God must have known such a pregnancy wasn't accepted by men of that day (i.e. preggo by a non-husband), why choose Mary? What's the canned answer to this one again?

Joseph was a direct descendant of David and the Messiah was prophesied to be the "Son" of David. That's one of the purposes for all those boring genealogies, not so we can date ancient events.

I genuinely ask out of ignorance. I personally don't know truly devout Christians, so forgive my stupid questions. Why didn't god just impregnate the first unmarried daughter in David's geneology? Or the first unmarried daughter after the time in history where God thought man needed saving. This pregnancy just doesn't quite gel with the no adultery sin all too well. Seems like Mary's pregnancy was the product of divine adultery, no?

So the better question is what makes them inappropriate when we do them in response to you, I suppose.

It was a nonsense post. Feel free to respond to any nonsense post I make with nonsense.

Will do.
