I remember a few weeks or months back a lot of people were reporting having their Full Tilt accounts hacked and money stolen. At the time, I was playing mostly on Absolute, so I didn't worry that much about it.
Now I play primarily on Full Tilt, and every day I worry about logging in and finding out I have been robbed. It hasn't happened. Why can't they let us opt for only logging in from a certain location? Or couldn't they at least block any login to my from outside the US or outside of my state or something like that? Is there a theory on what allowed them to happen (inside job, keyloggers, etc) and what caused them to stop? Thanks |

Is there a theory on what allowed them to happen (inside job, keyloggers, etc) and what caused them to stop? [/ QUOTE ] I don't think there was any evidence that any significant number of the hacking instances were related. Like most hacking cases, the main cause was ignorance of technology (see this thread). When people don't know anything about the computers they are using to move and store large sums of money, they are asking to lose large sums of money. The Full Tilt cases were especially frustrating because the response time from their support team was not satisfactory. More education among the players and faster responses from support teams should eliminate most hacking problems. |
