Default $100NL - top two vs TAG

Villain is TAG - he plays very few hands but tends to have the nuts or close to it when he goes to a showdown. Should I reraise on the flop?

i expect to lose a lot of the time, but i dont think you have a choice here, you can basically never fold and after the flop raise unless he is a retard his turn + river betsizes easily cover your stack.

if your gonna raise that much i feel you can just shove the flop tho

Says BB only has $142 in the beginning instead of the 170 in the hand. So with your 4-bet just shove and put the decision on him. I expect your beat though as you really beat nothing he'd do this with.

Villain seems like a nit from your description, not a tag. Against a serious nit I guess we could just call the RR and fold if he continues with heavy betting on the turn.

But against most players your play seems fine.

Given your description of the villain, you should not reraise. If he is a nit, his range is fairly narrow. When you are ahead, your equity is not that high.

If this is true you shouldn't play for your 170bb stack because what you have is pretty [censored] far from the nuts.

I am folding to his flop raise here, from your description he sounds more like a nit than a TAG. Against a smart thinking player its a different situation.

His raise is telling you he beats a pair of aces here, TT, JJ, KQs, you are beaten too often here to be profitable.

This is a fold. "Villain is TAG - he plays very few hands but tends to have the nuts or close to it when he goes to a showdown." He shows up with the goods here way more often than not. 80bb deep, get'em in
