iTunes Multiple computers
The setup: Two computers (one Dell PC, one Macbook).
The goal: To have to identical music libraries on each computer that auto synch w/ one another. The question: Possible? Basically, I'd like identical iTunes libraries on two machines without having to repeat myself constantly. |

Re: iTunes Multiple computers
I'm not sure if this is possible but if it is then sweet. If not, I could spend 14k buying the same new songs, or 3 weeks burning 16 songs to a disk over and over, but I probably wouldn't do either.

Re: iTunes Multiple computers
It might be possible if you got some network storage device; a hard drive that was connected to your home network and visible to each machine but not on either, and moved your iTunes collection there and pointed your computers at it.
There is also the sharing feature where one computer on your network can stream the content from another machine. The problem is there aren't a lot of cross platform file synchronization programs out there that I'm aware of. |

Re: iTunes Multiple computers
if you are networked together you can share your itunes library between the computers.

Re: iTunes Multiple computers
I have an external hard drive that I could network. The thing is, when the Macbook and I are elsewhere, no more library. They will be on the same network, so I guess I always have the share iTunes feature.
I was hoping there was a crossplatform autosynch option. I really don't know much about autosynch software to beging with, yet alone one that is compatible with both Macs and PC. |
