I have problems with depression, and am also bi-polar. It doesnt help that I have a history of drug abuse either. Unfortunately it seems that this community will now think that im some crazy drug abuser, but then again I dont really care.

Been there done that. I have moved up to more dangerous drugs and yes I do believe that weed is a gateway drug. Yes I still smoke weed. Yes I believe that weed should NOT be legalized.

The only reason weed is a gateway drug is because the same people that sell it also sell the harder drugs. If you could go to the liquor store and buy a bottle and a bag, cocaine/heroine use would drop significantly long term.

i went to my shrink this morning. I said: "hey, i've really been having a lot of trouble focusing lately, can you please prescribe me some Ritalin". I then walked out one hour later with the prescription

(i asked for Ritalin just because i've used the drug in the past)

There is no statistically significant correlation between weed and harder drugs. I believe your psychological condition, and general life disposition are more likely the cause of your drug escapades.

I have couple friends that are weekend coke users and I'd like to suggest an alternative. Do you know if adderall has similar effects as coke?

Well thats great, good job. It is much harder for me to ask for something from my psych because I have a history of dependency. I would need to have an air tight reason with many factors to back it up. In lieu of all this I have pretty much quit trying to plot a way to get prescribed to the drug. It would only cause further problems which I do not need. I have an active trust with my psych and she is only looking out for my best intentions, there is no use lying (like a [censored] junkie) to get something I want on the cheap. I am just gonna keep an eye out for a street connection, and of course im gonna keep [censored] around with the booger sugar.
