Default small silver stars on pokerstars?

I'm in the Sunday warmup and a player at my table "xXKermitXx" has a small silver star above his avatar ring.

anyone know what the deal is with this?

how can a .net player be in a real money tournament?

I played with someone in a 2+2 tournament a while back with a silver star. I think it was Lori, but I could be wrong.

i always thought it just meant they dont have a real money account (not sure why they would put on star on those players). i was watchig a friend of my donk around once and he was at a table with some of these players and he said that what it meant, so...

This occurs sometimes when players register for the tourney while using the .com software, but when the tourney actually starts, log in using the .net software. The server still knows to take them to their table, even if they would have no way to access it through the .net client lobbies.

Stars combined the .net and .com softwares awhile back. It's all one now.

It is a .net player. I believe anyone without real-money on their account has that star. Possible that the player used his entire online BR to enter in the tournament?
