[ QUOTE ]
Credit card fraud and chargebacks, dating back to 2001.

As a result, Party banned play from Thailand.

You make it sound like you know this is the reason.

I live in Singapore and up until today (last few days im guessing) I have been able to play at Party Poker and also Noble/Titan poker.
However I tried to play at both today and was told I am no longer welcome due to my area.
So this is not restricted to Thailand, and I am fairly sure this is not due to credit card fraud as someone suggested from these areas, as Singapore credit cards are not acceped anyway.
Stars, FTP and UB are still working from here.

Cant find any news anywhere on this - any other places in Asia this effecting?

Thailand has always been bad with Internet restrictions - most bookmaker sites are banned, and porn too, when you travel to BKK there is usually more fun things to do but a 6 mth internship, you might go through withdrawals

Yeah, I always used proxies to surf with (PartyPoker.com as a website has been banned for years in Thailand), when I was in asia, but using the poker-client with an unknown proxy might be somewhat dangerous, don't you think? Well, Party would have been my favourite choice, but also Stars might be nice (especially as the American primetime is between 8-12am Thailand time, so you have the whole day left for doing usefull things)

Probably banned those countries to please shareholders. A public company breaking laws in several countries isn't a good idea.

mike,

it would make me want to abuse party less if you actually provided something of substance than just cryptic nonsensical rubbish like this.

if he is wrong (as he may well be) it would be good if you could provide the correct answer.

while i understand you no longer work there, this post is just [censored] idiotic. really.
