Fish raises my overpair cbet
Hi guys. This is my first post in small stakes. I just moved up from 50NL. Am really looking forward to posting in and learning from this forum.
Here's the hand: Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $147.50 BB: $122.54 Hero (UTG): $100.00 BTN: $133.44 Reads: Villain is a 48/2/2.1 over 60 hands. I have been raising over his limps and cbetting him out a lot. I have quite an active image at this table. Villain has folded to cbets 50%, and called 42%. Preflop: Hero is dealt J J (4 Players) Hero raises to $4.00, 2 folds, BB calls $3.00 Flop: ($8.50) 7 2 T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB checks, Hero bets $7.00, BB raises to $20.00 What should I do here? |

Re: Fish raises my overpair cbet
welcome. i watched your video a few weeks back and thought it was very good
I typically call and re-evaluate on the turn in this spot. If it blanks and he checks i bet as we likely have the best hand and people very very rarely c/r back to back streets |

Re: Fish raises my overpair cbet
I'm looking to felt this hand against this sort of villain. I probably just 3bet to ~$55 and call a shove/ get rest the in on turn. He'll likely stack off with any ten, a flush draw or perhaps 89. I often might just call the flop in similar spots but in this case
a) villain is a huge donkey so we wanna get the money in b) the board is drawy and there are lots of bad turn cards for us (ie. any [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Ace, king, queen or ten) That said I certainly don't hate calling and raising all in on turn (or betting if he checks) but I probably lean towards a shove here. |

Re: Fish raises my overpair cbet
Repop him, if he's getting frustrated with you a lot of T's and flush/straight draws are in his range, maybe even A7. I don't want a scare card to hit the turn and have him decide he doesn't want to stack off with AT anymore.

meh id probably call and c/f a lot of turns [/ QUOTE ] Why that? Hero has a pretty good image he gets villain stacked with T/good kicker(+). Taking his stats and your image into consideration I put it in right there. |
