Default SKILL VS HABIT???

I strongly believe that poker players are completely creatures of habit...This is why many players can only play certain formats, certain amt people, vs certain players etc.....

Any thoughts?

It's obvious this game appeals to those with addictive personalities. I have always referred to myself as a creature of habit, even if I'm burned out on something I'll generally keep on, until something else grabs my attention.

Ya totally, i just would like to talk about this issue more as i think its just as important as strategy or anything else...

In my day trading, I was taught discipline, psychology, and skill fairly balanaced...However I feel almost all poker players learn 85% about skill,10% about psychology, and 5% about skill...

Now granted, theres not much to "learn in regards to psychology/discipline", but they are INDISPUTABLY the most important aspects of the poker players repetoire...

Anyways, I was wondering what things you guys do(the succesful poker players/pros) do to stay at the top of your game, and stay disciplned etc.....
