WTF?
I seriously dont know what is wrong with you but you need help, more than we can give. There is no way your hand is face up here. And even if it was, most players here wouldnt know if it was face up if it were LITERALLY face up. |

Re: i hate playing with my cards face up....
For starters you can lead out on that flop. Why would you not? Almost the same example is on page 82 of The Theory of Poker. In the example, you have JJ (as you do in the hand) and the board shows a pair (Ts, in the example). It says:
"With 2 Jacks you should bet in an attempt to win the pot right there, even if you think only a better hand will call. If you give your opponents a free card (with what would have been the best hand) and an A, K , or Q falls, you are clearly in trouble...." Not only an A, K, or Q, but in this cas a club as well. Also, I think the CO having the 5 is extremely unlikely. He's up 2 and a half stacks, so void of any other knowledge, I'm going to give him credit for at least recognizing a good hand from a bad. That said, he likely doesn't play a hand with a 5 in it. I can't name to many hands worthy of a limp with a 5 in it, let alone calling your raise. If anyone is going to have a 5 it is more likely to be the BB, who folds, so he must not have had one! So close your eyes (if you have to) and click the bet button! Lastly, you don't need 22 or a 5 to win this pot! So who cares if your opponents know you don't have them. We aren't playing Omaha, so don't assume they have them! Your JJ is good here probably 4 out of 5 times (and maybe even more often than that). Bet it. |

I raise more PF, bet flop AND turn. JJ is the nuts without a read otherwise.
