Default 600NL, fold a straight in blind battle, river c/raise

Villain is RobDuran on Party. TAGGY stats but seems to have raised every SB when it's folded to him. Maybe 5/6 times in a row. The only time I 3bet him he 4bet.

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - . $3/$6 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $1,339.41
Hero (BB): $617.00
UTG: $405.25
MP: $257.40
CO: $406.25
BTN: $703.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
4 folds, SB raises to $18.00, Hero calls $12.00

Flop: ($36) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $24.00, Hero calls $24.00

Turn: ($84) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $60.00, SB calls $60.00

River: ($204) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $130.00, SB raises to $1,032.00

Looks fine to me as long as you folded.

I like a flopraise, you have good fold equity against his very wide range of hands. If the prefloprange of a TAG-player is wider you often have more foldequity because this kind of player isnīt happy with a weak middlepair after a flopraise.
On the River you have an easy laydown.

So easy bet/fold?

The guy is aggro preflop in blind battles. Dunno if he carries that through. Maybe he could have a bare T here. But I guess my straight is just a bluffcatcher a lot of the time.

When I saw the river card, I got this feeling that I was going to be c/raised. I was nearly tempted to check behind on river. Then once he did c/r me, I started thinking that my hand was too good to fold HU against an aggro opponent.

You really only beat a bluff if Villain is competent.

I like villain's play regardless of what he has. If you call he'll often have the goods and you become afraid to VB river. If you fold you will hate yourself forever, convinced he punked you for 600. If you call and happen to be good you (and others who saw the hand) will pay off his river check-raises and VBs too often.
