Default Big PP in position facing a 3-bet from the blinds by regular

This situation comes up very often. The player in the blinds is a regular TAG (VPIP of 16-21/ PFR of 13-16/AF of 2-4) and you and him both have stacks of 100BB's. Your raise button with QQ, KK, or AA and he 3-bets you.

(While the hand below is 200NL I run into the same situation at 2/4 and 3/6 as well and am interested in the MSNL perspective).

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

AMB22: $293.55
winfornoble: $200.65
lunarbelly: $264.00
PlzFoldxX: $278.65
CS_Sitz: $249.55
TheXC: $205.30

Preflop: TheXC is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, TheXC raises to $7.00, AMB22 raises to $24.00, winfornoble folds, TheXC calls $17.00

Flop: ($50) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
AMB22 bets $39.00, TheXC raises to $112.00, AMB22 raises all-in to $269.55, TheXC calls all-in for $69.30
Uncalled bet of $88.25 returned to AMB22

Turn: ($412.60) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

River: ($412.60) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

Pot Size: $412.60 ($3 Rake)

When would you ever 4-bet here? It seems like flat calling and getting it in on any reasonable flop is the best way to maximize your value and pick off a bluff c-bet.

It seems that by 4-betting you are folding out marginal hands which might otherwise felt a good flop (AQ on a Qxx board, TT on a 236 board, etc) and wasting your positional advantage.

So ... give me a reason/situation to 4-bet in this spot with AA, KK, and QQ.

I like a floppush in situations like this. 200NL Villains will put you on a draw and call with AT.

If you ever 4bet AK, you have to 4 bet these hands sometimes also. I 4 bet QQ much more than KK and AA though. It all depends on the villian in question alot of times.

4-bet when their range is narrow and they think you're frusrated or wild.

I agree with this. Also, if you think they are FOS just 4-bet your crap and use the line from OP with big pairs. It will take them forever to figure out that you aren't balancing.
