Default 5/10NL: 88 weak play?

Im new to this site but Villain (CO) is multitabling and is 18.9/13.2/2.0 over only 50 hands though.

Seat 5: CO ($1,293.00 in chips)
Seat 6: HERO ($1,022.00 in chips) DEALER
Seat 8: SB ($721.00 in chips)
SB: Post SB $5.00
BB: Post BB $10.00
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]
CO: Raise $35.00
HERO: Raise $125.00
SB: Fold
BB: Fold
CO: Call $90.00
*** FLOP *** [4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]
CO: Check
HERO: Check
*** TURN *** [7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]
CO: Check
HERO: Check
*** RIVER *** [3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]
CO: Check

Is this too weak or is this standard since i'll probably get called only by better hands if I bet?

I like the 3bet, I don't know your image or style of play but 3betting 88 ip is fine in my opinion.
Postflop is also good, I think you played the hand very well.

3betting 88 is definitely not fine if you aren't betting somewhere in here.

So I shouldnt 3bet ip a CO raise 4handed with 88? What hand would you 3bet here then? Only suited connectors, TT+, AJ+?? Since many regular posters seem to aggree that coldcalling here is the best move i'll consider it but im a bit confused...

Isnt that correct to 3bet preflop since we have a good hand in position and then play the hands carefully since he probably called only with a pocketpair or overcards?

meh 3betting is fine here, i didn't notice it was 4 handed when i first read it. i just assumed it was 6 handed, and in that situation i don't like 3betting at all. 4 handed it's fine, and i think you should be betting postflop at some point if that's the case.

sorry for the original confusion

edit: this is obiedman, not bizzym00
