Registration opens at 7 am each day. It remains open until 10PM that evening. Upon completion of registration and announcement of the prize pool for that day's event, registration for the following day's event will open. That will be at about 3PM each day...

[ QUOTE ] BTW, what is the "juice" on these events? [/ QUOTE ] JohnnyGroomsTD [ QUOTE ] $300 + 40 , $500 + 50 $500 + $40 on the Megas $1000 + $60 on the megas [/ QUOTE ] GaryTheGoat [ QUOTE ] Thanks Johnny. so... $40/$300=13.33% $50/$500=10.00% $40/$500=08.00% $60/$1000=06.00% AMIRITE? [/ QUOTE ] JohnnyGroomsTD [ QUOTE ] in a way, yes. 550 is the total cost of the event. 50/550=.09 (9%) so 9 percent of your money goes to the house. I gues it's a difference in methodology [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] 3% will be withheld fo dealers and staff. Standard practice. [/ QUOTE ] Johnny, so...in the $500+$50 event example: $500 X 13% = $65 = $50 + $15 = 10%($500) + 3%($500) $485 to the prize pool? AMIRONG? or Different Methodology: $550 X 12% = $66 = $50 + $16 = 9%($550) + 3%($550) $484 to the prize pool? or sumpin else? I am ignorant, confused and probably stupid. We have a total of 81 tables, 65 in the conference room upstairs, and 16 in the main room downstairs. 891 total seating if we go 11 handed. We can also get alternates in for the first hour ( about 100-150), which leads me to believe we can accomodate around 1,000 players in each field.
Goat, I think the example that puts 485 in the prize pool is the coorect one. Donna is still taking reservations for all dates except the holiday weekend. All 400 poker rate rooms are sold out. an average of 1.5 players per room, means about 600 players are staying onsite that weekend, not counting offsite players, players not in the poker blocks, and drive in business. Around 800-1000 players for the prelims sounds good.... JG |

By the way,
For those of you who like to play in decent size buy-in tourneys with a good structure, we just finished our first weekend of the month tourneys at Gold Strike. Saturday was a $3,000 added NL event. $335 buy in, 6,000 in chips and 30 minute levels, with the same structure listed earlier in the post(minus the 25 ante 100-200 level). We had 91 players for that one with a 1st place of 10,400. Our Sunday event is a $335 buy-in NL, 6K in chips, 40 minute levels. We had 97 players and 1st was 9800. These events are as good as it gets with chips and structure(outside of a major event). If you want to try them out, come see us on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month. These events are the nuts..... JG |

However, I would still like to know about the registration period. Will I be able to register for the sunday event that morning when I arrive or will I have to be an alternate? Thanks |
